About East Coast Mustangs
When I was seventeen years old, I bought my first Mustang. It was a black 1970 Mustang Mach 1 with a 351 C, 4-barrel carburetor, and an automatic transmission. I loved that car and drove it everywhere. I taught my sister how to drive in this car, and she was only fifteen years old.
When I left for college, which was far away, I could not have a car there. The car sat in my driveway for a year and was only driven when I would come home for breaks. At the end of the summer of my freshman year, my Dad told me I had to sell my Mustang. It sold immediately, and I even made a small profit. My passion for cool cars, especially Mustangs, Shelby’s, and all Hi-Performance Fords from the ’60s and ’70s only got stronger, and that passion and extensive knowledge lives today.
Besides helping others buy, sell and restore Classic Fords, I am teaching my sons all that I have learned over the years, so the next generation continues to have the passion, understanding, and respect that these cars deserve.
